art:
You know what I like about art? What speaks to one, may fall flat to another. It is totally subjective. Art is created individually and loved (or hated) individually. I think it is important for us all to "consider" different art forms because it tells you who you are and what you can be.
I will use this page to share some artists that I find particularly wonderful. I hope they make you think and want to explore what inspires your inner art freak.

JOE BLUHM:
I found Joe Bluhm's caricature art through my love of the Comedian, Brian Regan (caricature pictured to the left). I immediately made a connection to Joe's work because so many times, I see people exactly as he draws them. Joe captures the true essence of people, even when they don't want to see it. I just wish I had his immense talent.

I have had the awesome pleasure of getting to know Mike Meredith and he is insanely talented and smart. I wish every book I picked up had his illustrations in them because they speak to me. As a parent, I have grown to appreciate illustration art and what it brings to the imagination of the reader. Mike has that down solid.

watercolor
I admire watercolor artists so much because they just capture life in a delicate and special way. Transforming what the eye sees into watercolor is a gift. It can make even the hardest subject matter, delicate.Honestly, I found this artist (based out of Huntsville, AL) because I have a dear friend by the same name. When I found THIS Dana Brown's work, I couldn't take my eyes away from the computer screen. It just sucked me in. I love shadow and what it brings to your eye. I love buildings as large art forms. I love machinery and think it is one of the under-rated and under-appreciated sources of artistry (I guess that comes from both of my grandfather's being machinists by trade). Dana Brown's got every bit of that. One day I want to have one of Dana's pieces on my wall. :)
